Aron Schultz Kehler was born in Hochfeld, the third son, fourth child of the Berliner Kehlers. Like the others, grew up in the family farm in Ebenfeld.

On November 28, 1911, Aron married Elizabeth Hiebert of Hochfeld. It was a fruitful marriage that produced seven boys and four girls and lasted 56 years.

Suddenly on Wednesday, March 27, 1968, at Misericordia Hospital in Winnipeg, Cornelius S. Kehler, beloved husband of Frieda Kehler, 348 Centennial Street, aged 63 years.

Funeral service 1:00pm Saturday, March 30, 1968 at the Christian Fellowship Chapel, 465 Osborne Street at Brandon Avenue, the Rev. Frank Koop officiating.

Interment in the family plot, Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens.

Peter S. Kehler: entrepreneur and minister; born 1 January 1896 in Ebenfeld, Manitoba, to Jacob K. and Elisabeth H. (Schultz) Kehler, as the eighth of 14 children in the family.

On 12 August 1923, he married Katharina Blatz (1900-1991) in Eigengrund (later called Hanover), Manitoba. The couple had 12 children, one of whom died young. Peter died on 11 February 1968 in Mitchell, Manitoba. Because the family was so large, he lived with an aunt and uncle from the age of four until he was ten years old. Suddenly on Sunday, October 27, 1963 at his residence Mr. David S. Kehler, aged 65 years, beloved husband of Helen Kehler of Steinbach, Manitoba.

Funeral service at 2 p.m.Thursday, October 31, 1963 in the Chortitzer Church in Steinbach. Besides his wife Mr. Kehler is survived by 8 sons, 3 daughters and 24 grandchildren.

Interment in the Steinbach cemetery.

Johann Schultz Kehler: self-taught veterinarian; born on 5 May 1894 in Steinbach, Manitoba, to Jakob K. “Berliner” and Elizabeth H. (Schutz) Kehler. He was the sixth of 13 children in the family. Johann was baptized on 21 May 1918 in Chortitz, Manitoba. On 20 November 1921, he married Anna U. Wieler (1901-1991). The couple had 11 children, one of whom died young.

Mrs. Rosemarie Hiebert, daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Henry Wieler, Steinbach, was born September 9, 1929. The Lord called her to Himself Tuesday, May 15, 1956 at 12:20 in the morning.

Rosemarie has proven that with Jesus we can rest securely even in the greatest storms of life and in the shadow of death.

Rosemarie leaves many precious memories that shall always linger in our minds. She was known as an obedient child in the home with deep spiritual inclinations since very young.
