On November 17, 2011 Leonard George Unger passed away peacefully with his family by his side, at the Bethesda Hospital in Steinbach. Leonard was born April 4, 1928 to Jacob and Aganetha Unger of Steinbach.

Left to cherish his memory is his beloved wife of 60 years Helen, his children Pete (Carla) and Pat (Leo); sister Norma (Harry), his brothers and sisters-in-law; as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents. Continue reading “Leonard George Unger (1928-2011)”

William Kehlers Celebrate

Mr and Mrs Bill Kehler celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary at an open house Sunday, October 21, 1979. Approximately 200 relatives, friends and neighbours were present for the short program and luncheon.

Mr and Mrs Bill Kehler celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary at an open house Sunday, October 21, 1979.  Approximately 200 relatives, friends and neighbours were present for the short program and luncheon.

They were presented with many lovely gifts and a sum of money. All of their children and grandchildren were present for the occasion.

It is with great sadness that the family of Tyler Jordan Dyck, age 24, of Steinbach, Manitoba announces his sudden passing at their home in Steinbach, on Sunday October 4, 2009.

Besides his parents Jake and Dianne Dyck, he is survived by his sister Kassandra and her friend Nathan Klassen. He is also survived by his very special friend Sabrina Amador.

Jacob W. Schellenberg of Steinbach, MB passed away at the Bethesda Hospital on Sunday, September 28, 2008 at the age of 75. He is survived by his wife Eva (nee Kehler), four daughters, one son and their families as well as one sister and her family.

Cornelius G. Peters was born August 12, 1928, to Peter T. & Katharina Peters of Randolph. He lost both parents at a young age; but Dad was always grateful for the loving second mother he had, Susana, as well as a bachelor great-uncle Jacob Peters, who was a father figure in his life. At the young age of 15, he began a career that lasted for several decades, in cheese making and management at the Hanover & Bothwell cheese factories.

Suddenly on November 16, 2007, at his home in Steinbach, Andrew Kehler passed away at the age of 83.  Andrew worked for Versatile Farm Industries for 15 years.

He leaves to cherish his memory three brothers and six sisters: Henry and Mathilda, Helen and Leonard Unger, Nettie and Rev Cornie Peters, Peter and Helen, Bill and Tina, Eva and Jake Schellenberg, Anne and Rev. Jac Doerksen, Tina and Bill Bergen, Frieda and Ed Neufeld, sister-in-law, Sara Isaac, as well as 44 nieces and nephews and their families.

Thursday, February 16, 1995 at the Health Sciences Centre in Winnipeg, Aaron Jacob Isaac, aged 70 years, beloved husband of Sara of Grunthal, passed away.

Besides his loving wife Sara, he leave to cherish her children: Dave and Betty Fehr, Eric and Ange Klippenstein, Frank and Luella Fehr, Garry and Sara Harder, Ernie and Judy Bueckert, Sheila Fehr, Melanie Fehr;  10 grandchildren; two brothers: Abe and Pete of Mississauga, ON; numerous nieces and nephews, relatives and friends.He was predeceased by his first wife Mary in 1980, step-daughter Eva Klippenstein in 1985.
