A unique rocket monument and pocket park was recently built by friends, neighbours and family in Steinbach’s neighbourhood park of Tyler Dyck (1985-2009). The most fitting description of the monument reads:
Being a proud resident of “The Meadows”, Tyler spent many hours in the park flying kites, playing ball, sliding down piles of snow, and of course, playing in the creek.
When Tyler was a little older, one of his favourite pastimes, summer or winter, was building rockets and launching them from a launch pad in the park, for the entertainment of the neighbourhood.
The park was an important part of Tyler’s life and hopefully it continues to be so to the many children of the neighbourhood.
