Peacefully, on October 10, 1994, at the age of 30, Sheila Lorraine Friesen passed away after a courageous battle with cancer to be with her Saviour.
Sheila was born April 29, 1964, in Winnipeg to Ed and Ellie Loewen of Mitchell. She grew up in New Bothwell and Camrose, Alta., graduated from Niverville Collegiate and presently resided in Mitchell with husband Les, son Dale and their dog “Blue”.
Sheila had many special interests which included her love for animals, crafts and her Mustang.
Sheila will be deeply missed by her husband Les; son Dale; parents Ed and Ellie; in-laws Jake and Marie Friesen and family, grandparents, numerous aunts and uncles, cousins and her many friends, including her special friend Christine of Alberta.
Visitation will be held Wednesday from 7:30 to 9 p.m. at Loewen Funeral Chapel in Steinbach.
Memorial services will be held Thursday, October 13 at 2 p.m. in the Beautiful Saviour Lutheran Church, 1541 St. Mary’s Rd. Winnipeg. Pastor James Fritshe officiating. Interment will follow at the Heritage Cemetery, Steinbach.
