Charlotte Wiens, 84 of Rosenort passed away Sunday November 14, 2021 at her residence in Rosenort, MB. She is survived by her son Paul Wiens and Pam Thiessen (Samantha and Tyler); daughter Judy  and Frank Schettler (Jeremy ,Carly and Callum); brother Syd and Helen Reimer, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Norman , her son David, her grandson Andrew Siemens, parents Peter and Elisabeth Reimer and 3 siblings.

Elmer ( Al ) E Reimer, passed away peacefully at home on December 22, 2015. He was 88. Al was predeceased by his wife Joan, son Mark, sisters Louise Olson and Nita Hogue, and parents Elizabeth and PJB Reimer. He is survived and dearly missed by his daughter Cynthia Eeson, son Curt, and brother Syd, sister Charlotte Wiens, and grandchildren Jennifer Eeson, Lindsay Eeson, Mallory Eeson, Jamie Reimer and Megan Reimer. On April 6, 2011, Joan Doreen Reimer, nee Frederick, beloved wife of Al Reimer, passed away peacefully at the Grace General Hospital. She was in her 81st year. Joan was born on May 18, 1930 and raised in Pine Falls, Manitoba, the oldest of three siblings, and began her working career there in the office of the Abitibi Paper Mill.

In 1951, Joan married Elmer E (Al) Reimer, who came from Steinbach, Manitoba, and together they raised three children. Joan and Al lived in Toronto and New Haven, Connecticut (where Al pursued graduate studies at Yale), before they settled in Winnipeg. Continue reading “Joan Doreen Reimer (1930-2011)”

Louise Olson died peacefully on February 19, 2011, at the age of 82, at the St. Adolphe Personal Care Home.  She was predeceased by her first husband, Martin Giesbrecht as well as her second husband, Clarence Olson.  She will be dearly missed by her daughters, Beverly (Theo), Bonnie (Russ); her son, Nelson; grandchildren: Elena (Jason); Emmanuel (Sarka); Miltos (Neviyah); Peter; Teddy; Matthew (Mel); Joshua; Abe (Danielle); great-grandchildren: Aria; Petra; and Zamar.  She is also deeply mourned by her siblings: Al (Elmer) (Joan); Nita (Guy); Sydney (Helen) and Charlotte. It is with great sadness that we announce the untimely death of Marjorie Anne Heinrichs of Rosenort, Manitoba. Marj passed away tragically November 9, 2010 at the age of 54.

Born March 2, 1956 in Morris, Manitoba to Sydney and Helen Reimer, Marj was the second eldest of six siblings, Daryl, Dan (Leslie), Kim (Cal), Peter and James (Christine).

Mark Stafford Reimer born on April 25, 1953 passed away on August 25, 2010 in Calgary, AB.

Left to mourn his passing are his two children, Jamie and Megan, both of Calgary, AB,  his parents, (Al) Elmer & Joan Reimer (Winnipeg, MB) and his siblings Cynthia Melanie Eeson, (Calgary, AB) and Curt Reimer (Winnipeg, MB).

Suddenly on January 23, 2003 while at school, Andrew Siemens aged 12 years, precious son of Robert and Judy (nee Wiens)  and brother of Jeremy and Carly. Andrew is also survived by his grandmothers, Charlotte Wiens and Lottie Siemens.  Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 28 at 2:00 p.m. at Rosenort EMC Church with interment in the church cemetery. Peacefully in her sleep, on Monday, October 21, 1996 at the Morris General Hospital, Marie Reimer, devoted wife of the late Rev. Peter J.B. Reimer passed away at the age of 95.

After a brief illness, on January 11, 1988, while on a visit to Hawaii, Rev. Reimer, beloved husband of Marie Reimer of Rosenort, MB died peacefully in Honolulu, at the age of 85 years.

He was born in Steinbach on October 18, 1902, the youngest son in a pioneer family of five sons and five daughters. As a good student in somewhat delicate health, he received special permission from his church to attend high school and become a teacher. He began his teaching career in 1922 and retired in 1967, having taught in a total of 43 years in southern Manitoba schools.
