Mark Stafford Reimer

Mark Stafford Reimer born on April 25, 1953 passed away on August 25, 2010 in Calgary, AB.

Left to mourn his passing are his two children, Jamie and Megan, both of Calgary, AB,  his parents, (Al) Elmer & Joan Reimer (Winnipeg, MB) and his siblings Cynthia Melanie Eeson, (Calgary, AB) and Curt Reimer (Winnipeg, MB). 

Mark Stafford Reimer was laid to rest in the Rosenort E.M. Cemetery on September 3, 2010. (more…)

John Jacob Kehler

John Jacob Kehler, passed away on Saturday, March 13, 2010, in Surrey, BC.  Born in Glen Ewen, Saskatchewan on June 3, 1929. Predeceased by his loving wife Henritte L R Kehler on March 15, 2006. Dad passed away peacefully in his sleep, soulfully wishing to be reunited with his wife Hetty whom he missed dearly. Dad was a loving, devoted father, who worked hard to support his large family of four children throughout his younger years. He was also a caring grandfather, his greatest joy being family. (more…)

Tyler Jordan Dyck

 It is with great sadness that the family of Tyler Jordan Dyck, age 24, of Steinbach, Manitoba announces his sudden passing at their home in Steinbach, on Sunday October 4, 2009.

Besides his parents Jake and Dianne Dyck, he is survived by his sister Kassandra and her friend Nathan Klassen. He is also survived by his very special friend Sabrina Amador.

He is further survived by his paternal grandfather Jacob A. Dyck and by his maternal grandparents Bill and Tina Kehler, all of Steinbach; and by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. (more…)

Peter S.T. Kehler

Peter S.T. Kehler passed away peacefully July 24, 2009 at the Bethesda Hospital in Steinbach at the age of 83 years.

Dad will lovingly be remembered by his wife Eva (Toews) and his children Clifford (Bev), Jerry (Brenda), Peter, Jeff Funk, Darlene (Bill) Hiebert, Darryl (Jackie), Pearl (Brad) Kallert, 15 grandchildren and their spouses plus two great-grandsons; as well as numerous brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews.

Dad was predeceased by an infant daughter Pauline, parents David and Helen, brothers Dave (Katie), Jake (Helen), Henry, Edgar and brother-in-law Bill Hildebrandt. (more…)

David Kehler

David Kehler passed away peacefully on June 12, 2009 after a brief illness at the Riverview Health Centre. Dave was born in the RM of Hanover on May 27, 1930. In 1952 he moved to Dauphin where he met and married Irene Bawdon and raised their three children. In 1970 the family moved to Winnipeg where he resided until the time of his death. Dave was friendly and outgoing with a great sense of humor, and a knack for telling tall tales.

He liked to have coffee with his friends, new and old, reminiscing about the good old days . Dave had a great memory and could recall events from the past like they had happened yesterday. (more…)

Kelly Hiebert Kehler Larson

 With great sadness, we announce the peaceful passing of Kelly Larson (Kehler) on March 2, 2009 at the Bethany Care Centre in Calgary at the age of 86. Kelly was predeceased by her husband Don in 1999;

Her parents, Aron and Elizabeth Kehler; brothers, Jake, Peter, John, George, Ernie, Ben; sisters, Betty and Susan. She will be lovingly remembered by her sister Mary; brother Dave (Irene); her children, Allen (Patricia), Phyllis (Len), Debbie (Tom), Brent (Colleen); grandchildren, Troy (Heather), Jennifer (Vance), Nicole (Jason), Erika (James) and her great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews. Jacob W. Schellenberg

Jacob W. Schellenberg of Steinbach, MB passed away at the Bethesda Hospital on Sunday, September 28, 2008 at the age of 75. He is survived by his wife Eva (nee Kehler), four daughters, one son and their families as well as one sister and her family.

Viewing will be held at Birchwood Funeral Chapel on Thursday, October 2 at 7:00 p.m. with a devotional at 7:30 p.m.

The funeral service will be held at the Evangelical Mennonite Church, 422 Main St, Steinbach, MB on Friday, October 3 at 11:00 a.m. with interment at Heritage Cemetery.

Rev. Cornelius G. Peters

Cornelius G. Peters was born August 12, 1928, to Peter T. & Katharina Peters of Randolph. He lost both parents at a young age; but Dad was always grateful for the loving second mother he had, Susana, as well as a bachelor great-uncle Jacob Peters, who was a father figure in his life. At the young age of 15, he began a career that lasted for several decades, in cheese making and management at the Hanover & Bothwell cheese factories.

 
Dad was baptized at Randolph in 1948. On October 3, 1954, he married Aganetha Kehler. (more…)

Andrew B. Kehler

Suddenly on November 16, 2007, at his home in Steinbach, Andrew Kehler passed away at the age of 83.  Andrew worked for Versatile Farm Industries for 15 years.

 He leaves to cherish his memory three brothers and six sisters: Henry and Mathilda, Helen and Leonard Unger, Nettie and Rev Cornie Peters, Peter and Helen, Bill and Tina, Eva and Jake Schellenberg, Anne and Rev. Jac Doerksen, Tina and Bill Bergen, Frieda and Ed Neufeld, sister-in-law, Sara Isaac, as well as 44 nieces and nephews and their families.
